Persian Yazd rugs are cherished within Iran for their beautiful meticulous designs, wool quality, and fine weave to the point that few Yazd rugs make it to the export market, especially the US. Luckily those that do are often in shockingly good condition for their age because of Persians' fastidious nature. Many traditional households like our grandparent's and parent's generation had a no shoe policy which we, as kids, hated but, it dramatically reduced day to day wear and tear and helped keep the home in order.
