NW Persian Kharadje
RRPK3555
Origin: Iran/Persian
Design: Kharadje
Pile: Wool on Cotton
Size: 3'5 x 5'5"
Dyes: Vegetal
Age: ~ 30yrs old
Design Considerations:
Very dense pile and appealingly colored (likely all vegetal) Kharadje village rug from Eastern Azerbaijan region west of glacier pearled Mt Sabalan, third highest mountain in Persian at 15,728ft. Less than 100 miles east of Tabriz, some of the earliest rugs from the Neo-Classical revival were woven here: Bakhshayesh, Heriz, Serab, and also Karadje. Karadje rugs are typically made as throw rugs and runners some of which are 5’+ in width. This rug has been professionally cleaned. An appropriate pad is recommended.
Thank you.
